SURFACE PREPARATION

Surfaces should be smooth, clean and dry, free from grease, dust, loose or flaking paint. On new wooden surfaces scrape off the knots and then apply wood preservative Diaxyl Extra water based. To fill any cracks or holes use Acrylic Putty.

APPLICATION

Stir well before use. Apply one or two coats by roller or brush diluted up to 5-10% with water or by spray gun diluted up to 10-15% with water. For applications of darker final coats, first apply one coat of Velatoura Eco as it is or slightly tinted to the shade of final coat, through Vitex's Coloring System. Do not apply at temperatures below 5^oC, above 35^oC and/or relative humidity above 80%.

It is touch-dry after 30-60 minutes and can be recoated after 6-8 hours. When the coating is thoroughly dry, use an appropriate abrasive paper to produce a smooth surface, remove the dust and apply any Vitex’s enamel water based or solvent based paint. Drying time depends on weather conditions (humidity and temperature). After paint application, seal the pail and store it in temperatures between 5^oC and 35^oC for future use.

Tools must be cleaned immediately after use with water and if needed with soapy water or a detergent. Do not dispose of liquid waste into ground water table. Unused paint requires special handling for safe disposal. Advice regarding disposal and collection should be sought from the local authority.
