Ecological PU acrylic water based enamel paint for interior and exterior use

Description

PU acrylic water based ecological enamel paint ideal for interior and exterior surfaces made of wood, plaster, glass, PVC, aluminium e.tc. Certiﬁed according to the criteria of the European Union Ecolabelling Board (EUEB) and according to standard EN 71-3 for non-heavy metal migration from toys and toys materials. Classiﬁed in the upper category A+ in terms of indoor air quality. Low odour product during its application due to the absence of ammonia or other dangerous substances, such as aromatic hydrocarbons, free formaldehyde, heavy metals or alkylphenolethoxylates.
It has excellent working and levelling properties providing a perfect surface without brush and/or joint marks. It exhibits exceptional whiteness, great hiding power, exceptional durability to frequent washing and excellent adhesion even on surfaces previously painted with alkyd enamEL.

PREPARATION - APPLICATION

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surfaces should be smooth, clean and dry, free from grease or dust and sanded. Wooden surfaces after proper preparation (treated with wood preservative Diaxyl Extra water-based if necessary, stoppered, ﬁlled with Acrylic Putty if necessary and sanded down to a clean, smooth surface) should be primed with Velatura Eco. Then, the surface is sanded with a suitable sandpaper and the dust is removed.New surfaces made of plaster, concrete, cement, plasterboard, etc. should be ﬁrst primed with Acrylan Unco Eco. Surfaces stained from smoke, grafﬁty, coffee or any other kind of stain should ﬁrst be primed with Blanco Eco. Metal surfaces should be coated with an anticorrosive primer (Anti-Rust Primer, Minio Primer or Metal Primer). Glossy metal surfaces (aluminum, galvanized steel e.tc) should be ﬁrst coated with Velatura Eco.

APPLICATION

Stir well before use. Apply one or two coats by roller or brush diluted up to 5-10% with water or by spray gun diluted up to 10-15% with water. Do not apply at temperatures below 5^oC, above 35^oC and/or relative humidity above 80%.

It is touch-dry after 1-2 hours and can be recoated after 6-8 hours. Drying time depends on weather conditions (humidity and temperature). Allow at least 3 weeks before cleaning and washing newly painted surfaces with Aquavit Eco. Wash gently with water using a soft sponge. In case of bad stains, use a mild colourless detergent or soapy water. After paint application, seal the pail and store it in temperatures between 5^oC and 35^oC for future use.

Tools must be cleaned immediately after use with water and if needed with soapy water or a detergent. Do not dispose of liquid waste into ground water table. Unused paint requires special handling for safe disposal. Advice regarding disposal and collection should be sought from the local authority.
