Water-based Multi-bond Primer

Description

Mat, waterborne multi-bonding primer, based on modiﬁed acrylic resins. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It offers great adhesion and anchorage on difﬁ cult non-absorbent surfaces such as: galvanized iron, aluminium, copper, melamine, ceramics, ﬁberglass, bathroom tiles, polystyrene, as well as increased adhesion and anchoring on absorbent surfaces such as: plasterworks, MDF, sea plywood, glass, PVC. Due to its special composition, it effectively covers and ﬁlls the surface, offering excellent adhesion even on previously painted surfaces, isolating old stains. It contributes to the best indoor air quality and healthier environment as well, due to the very low emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds. It is certiﬁed with Indoor Air Comfort GOLD, the world’s most rigorous indoor emission rating system.

Preparation - Application

PREPARATION

Surfaces should be smooth, clean and dry, free from grease, dust, loose or ﬂaking paint.
To ﬁll any cracks or holes use Acrylic Putty. Wet sanding is recommended for the surface preparation.

APPLICATION

Dilute 5-10% with water (roller/brush) or 10-15% (airless spray gun) and stir well before use. Apply one or two coats by brush, roller or spray gun. When the ﬁlm is thoroughly dry, the surface is sanded using a suitable sandpaper. Wipe surface to clean off loose dust particles and apply any Vitex’s water-based or solvent-based paint after 24 or 48h respectively. Do not apply nitrocellulose and 2K solvent-based paints. Application at 5-35°C and <80% RH. For exterior use, don’t apply if there is a risk of rain/frost in the next 48 hours. For applications of darker ﬁ nal coats, ﬁrst apply one coat of GRIP 360 Primer White as it is or slightly tinted to the shade of the ﬁnal coat through Vitex Coloring System.
